No accounts, no forms
There is nothing to sign up for here. No names, no email addresses, no payment details are collected, because there is nothing on this site that would ask for them.
Analytics
Page views are measured with Google Analytics, loaded from googletagmanager.com. It records which pages are read and which searches lead here, and that is used for one thing: deciding which question to answer next. No attempt is made to identify an individual reader, and nothing is sold. It would be misleading to stop there, though — the visit data does reach Google, and what happens to it there is governed by their privacy policy, not by this one.
Store links
The links to Steam, the App Store and Google Play are plain links carrying no referral or affiliate tag. Once you follow one, that store’s own privacy policy applies and this site has no visibility into what happens next — including whether you bought anything.
Advertising
Some pages carry ads served by Adsterra, below the article. Adsterra and the buyers it sells to may set their own cookies or read a device identifier to pick and cap the ads you see; that data goes to them, not to this site, and is covered by their privacy policy. No data collected here is passed to them, and nothing is sold.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets two cookies here, _ga and a _ga_ one, so a returning reader is not counted as a new one. They are first-party — your browser lists them under servantofthelake.net, not under Google — even though, as above, the data they help count does reach Google. Adsterra and its buyers may set their own on top of that. Nothing else is stored: no login, no saved preference, no consent wall to remember your answer to.
Children
Not directed at children under 13 and no information is knowingly collected from them.
