The Soundtrack

The score is by Victor Butzelaar, a Dutch composer, credited on the official Steam listing. The game carries full voice acting across 23 languages, so the audio work here is larger than the series norm.

There is no separate release yet. Not on Steam, not on Apple Music, not on the composer's own Bandcamp. Checked 18 August 2026, five days after launch.

Where it is not

Steam. The store page lists no soundtrack DLC and no bundle carrying the music. If one is added it appears on that same page.

Apple Music / iTunes. Butzelaar has 38 releases in Apple's catalogue, a dozen of them Rusty Lake ones. Servant of the Lake is not among them. Searching the title instead of the composer returns twenty-five unrelated gospel records by acts called Servants of the Lord — a good illustration of why this page names what it checked.

Bandcamp. victorbutzelaar.bandcamp.com is real, is his, and carries Rusty Lake work — Paradox, Paradise, the Roots B-Side, The White Door, Samsara Room, The Past Within, Underground Blossom. Servant of the Lake is not on it.

The Bandcamp handle that is not the studio

rustylake.bandcamp.com looks like it would be the official account. It is not. It belongs to an unrelated artist in Shandong, China, whose releases are 勾玉Magatama, 肖 Shaw and Memories of Luo. Nothing there is connected to the game, the studio or the composer.

This matters because a fan site or a forum reply linking "the Rusty Lake Bandcamp" may well be pointing there. When the real album appears, it is far likelier to land on the composer's page above.

How long the last nine took

Every Rusty Lake soundtrack that reached Apple Music, against the game's Steam release date. This is the useful thing to know while waiting:

Read it as three phases. The early soundtracks trailed their games by six months to nearly two years. From 2018 the gap collapsed, and by 2020–2023 the album was arriving within days of the game — Samsara Room's store date is a day before the game's, which is a time-zone artefact rather than a real head start.

Then the most recent game broke the pattern. The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show shipped in April 2025 and still has no soundtrack.

So five days of silence means nothing on its own. The recent norm would have delivered it by now; the older norm would not have, and the newest data point says the norm can lapse entirely.

When it appears

It goes on this page with the link, on the day we can confirm it. If you find an official album before we do, send the link — the composer's Bandcamp and Apple Music are the two places being watched.

Listening to it in the meantime

The trailers on the Steam page carry the score. Beyond that, the game itself — the free Lite build is a no-cost way to hear the opening.
