The first game Rusty Lake charged money for, and entry 11 of 19. Five animal-headed guests check into a hotel, and you cook each of them a dinner they do not survive.
The five guests
| Room | Guest |
|---|---|
| 1 | Mr. Deer |
| 2 | Mr. Boar |
| 3 | Ms. Pheasant |
| 4 | Mr. Rabbit |
| 5 | Mrs. Pigeon |
That order comes from the developer's own walkthrough index, not from a fan reconstruction. You work through them in it.
Should you start here?
Only if you already know you like the series. Hotel scores 65 on Metacritic, the lowest of the four Rusty Lake games that have a critic score at all, and it asks for money up front where the Cube Escape entries are free.
The play order page puts it third, after two free Cube Escape games — that is the honest sequence. Hotel is the point where you decide whether the premium entries are worth it, not the point where you find out what Rusty Lake is.
Where to play it
Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. It is a standalone purchase; the Cube Escape Collection does not include it.
